The small business sector accounts for close to 44% of total employment in Australia. Around 5 million Aussies work for 2 million small business owners.
Small business is a vital part of the Australian economy and all of us who own a business should be proud that we have made the decision to contribute to the community via our area of expertise.
Figures compiled by Invoice2go using analysis of its 30,000 Australian small businesses found an average sales slump of 7.6% in the 2019 Financial Year. The only industry it found that increased by 3.8% was the plumbing & air conditioning sector.
So it stands to reason then, that Australian small business owners need to be constantly innovative and adaptive to be able to keep up with the economic environment we are in and the constant changes in technology.
